To exhibit the eclectic nature of this blog here's a review of Jet Lag Gemini's show at Soma the other night. Em took me to it and we met up with Heidi and Megan. (Also, it is a not so shameless trawl for responsive comments from our loyal readers)
First, at 24 I was not the oldest person there. A couple of local bands led off, which I forget their names. The second one had a lead singer who mysteriously walked back stage during the middle of a song only to come out without his shirt on. We were glad he didn't go back stage a second time. Also, before last night, I think the last time I saw so much dudes' underwear was after walking through the men's section of Macy's. Pull up your pants and use your belts!
So to the music! Jet Lag Gemini played about 5 songs, I really liked them all. I guess out of the songs played I enjoyed "Fit to Be Tied" the most. Well, to be honest that's probably only because Em was singing the lyrics next to me which made it easier to understand what was being sung on the speakers which we were right next to (I'm getting old). We haven't hooked up an mp3 player to this blog so if you want to hear them you'll have to use the magical internet to find them yourself.
Afterwards the girls and I talked to the band. I got a picture with one of them- woo hoo! The girls and some more of the fam are gonna see them again tonight. I'm not going so that I can improve my chances to convince Missi to let us buy Mario Kart. The money we're saving on gas and the ticket is practically half the price of the game!
Anyhoo, maybe we can get the fam to provide a follow up review-post!

The show was lots of fun, and of course "Fit to be Tied" was your favorite because it is one of their best songs. I do not remember the other bands names either, but what does that matter anyways? The guy without the shirt freaked me out. To sum it up, a very fun night.
