Five Years of Happy Marriage!

This past weekend we celebrated 5 years of marriage. We had the hardest time thinking of what we could do over the weekend while Missi is in her impregnated state and couldn't take any time off of work. We decided to be tourists for the weekend in LA!

First we went to Pinks to try the hot dogs of choice for celebrities. I got the Rosie O'Donnell Long Island dog (hot dog with chili, mustard, cheese, onions, and sauerkraut) and Missi had the Walk-of-Fame dog (hot dog with cole slaw and fresh diced tomatoes). We both ended up liking each other's dog better than our own. The cole slaw and tomatoes were surprisingly delicious and refreshing.

Next, we went to the Disney Concert Hall and took a free walking tour. While we were there I saw a caravan of police and film crews drive off from the Stanley Mosk Courthouse past the Concert Hall filming something.

We stayed at the Renaissance hotel which is connected to the Kodak theater. From there we walked up and down the walk-of-fame. Predictably, we managed to find probably every single Disney affiliated star there.

After a great dinner at Lawry's, where I found the Yorkshire pudding to taste like Babingka and the cream corn to taste surprisingly like another Filipino dish, we drove past Bobby Trendy's store (the designer on the old Anna Nicole Smith show).

Then, we spent all night partying it up with the rest of the Sunset strip clubbers. Actually, the hotel was insanely loud, so we (more Missi) couldn't sleep. It was like we were back living in downtown next to the half-way house, or on Grape Street in Little Italy underneath the flight path. Then at 5:30 a.m. the hotel fire alarm went off. Out of the fully booked hotel we figure that we only saw about a dozen other guests leave their rooms in response to the alarm.

Since we got such an early start to the day, we decided to go drive around Beverly Hills. On the drive Missi and I found a house we will be moving into soon, even though its just south of Sunset (Anybody get that sly reference to Paul Rudd's line in "Clueless"?).

Anyhoo, after visits to the La Brea Tar Pits and The Griffith Observatory we called it a weekend and had lunch at The Hat, before visiting the H's and Q's.
