Christmas lights on Knobb Hill

This house up near us has over 80k lights, it's really awesome. Ginny enjoyed seeing them all. Puts our whole neighborhood to shame ;-).

Check out Missi in the middle pic- I think she heard Santa Claus in the sky!

Fun at the Zoo with E!

Ginny and Elliott had a good 'ol time at th zoo today. They saw a bunch of animals, rode a tortoise (check out E trying to figure out the map, ginny should be nervous at his uncertainty), and showed how we give two arm hugs in this family (with a slight chance of tickling).

Dinosaur Ginny!

Roar! Growl! Grrrr!

Ginny's school has costumes for the kiddies to play with. This morning Ginny chose to be a dinosaur to roar at everyone! Thanks mommy for the picture, it must've been hard to take this picture knowing that she might gobble you up next.

Food Blog Posts: Series 4, Churros

Good job Sarah and seeing the [un]intentional food motif in our last few posts. Well, here's another! Ginny loves her churro, it's so delicious and sweet! She savored the flavor too, by waiting for like 10 minutes carrying around the last bite, teasing mommy and me with it.

McRiblicious!

So juicy, so ephemeral, like the promotion, the sandwich lasts only so long. Its purpose is to be delicious and is its undoing- like a bubble whose sole purpose is to pop...

Cake time!

Check out my beautiful and delicious birthday cake! Missi and Ginny baked it, and Emie and Sarah "iced" it.

An ongoing debate in this house is whether "iced" is the right term to use, or "icing". Tomato-tomorrow, potato-gelato, is what I say.

Mickey Mouse kind of looks like he has a mustache to me.

The Look of Defeat Never Looked So Happy

Since May, Emie and I have been duking it out over an epic bet to see who could go the longest without drinking soda. Tonight it ended with Emie voluntarily drinking some Dr. Pepper and me following suit just a second behind her. It was admittedly a negotiated win for me, but whatev's jack! I'm #1! I'm #1!

I tell you what, when I took that first sip it was wonderful. Feeling the sugar and caffeine go down the hatch and enter the blood stream was thrilling.

I don't know whether I'll drink soda as regularly as before, probably not. But now at least I have things to drink at fast food places besides water and Hi-C.

The photo is of Em as she's opening her soda and realizing that her taste buds were about to see the Dr.

Nice Chargers hat too, right?

Mickey's the boss of me, apparently...

See this face? This is the face of someone supremely satisfied with himself.

We went out on a walk tonight with the doggies. I'm walking with Mickey. As I'm innocently watching Ginny run with Mulan and Mommy I feel a warm bath on my foot. I look down and see Mickey peeing away on my foot as if it's the newest trendy thing to do.

(He's staring at me as I type this post. I wonder if he's planning for another shot.)

Anyhoo, I'll be busy sitting in a corner with my thighs against my chest, my thumb in my mouth, while rocking back and forth.

Missi's gonna walk Mickey next time.

Huff 'n Puffin at Knotts!

Ginny loves this ride so much that before everyone got loaded on the ride she took off! The ride attendant had to run and get her. Haha!

Weekend Fun!

We had a busy weekend with Ginny-bug. We started with big-girl swim lessons. Ginny started well, blowing bubbles in the water when teacher asked. She listened and paid attention. But, about half way through she got out of the pool and walked toward us because she was done. She got back in with some encouragement and finished the lesson by giving an impromptu big hug to teacher. She's the girl on the left side of the picture.

Then, we went on to cousin Noah's 5th Birthday bash. She had fun playing with all the family. And the family was treated to a trip down memory lane with some old family movies of the Missi and the rest of the girls putting on a fashion show, dancing to awesome music, talking about button fly jeans and doing Robbin Leach impressions. Why day, perhaps when there's nothing left for me to lose, I may try to put those up on the blog! Hahaha! Sorry, I don't have any photos handy of the party, maybe in another post.

The other photos here are of me and Ginny at the zoo for some brief daddy-ginny time. We watched an animal show and saw a bunch of snakes and lizards at the reptile house. Ginny was really impressed with this yellow snake and asked me to take its picture. Until next time, toodles!

Big hugs from cousin Elliott!

I figured this was a nice pic to share as I practice using blogger's email posting function. We'll see if it works.

This is from this past Saturday at Max' 1st birthday party.

Feet Gloves Work Fine

A couple months ago we were at the Wild Animal Park, now Safari Park.
Ginny hopped on the lilly pads around the main pond.  Reasonable minds differ on what happened, but regardless, Ginny fell into the cold duck pond and soaked her shoes and socks!  Thinking quickly, we got our girls feet nice and warm with an extra pair of gloves.  We think Ginny didn't like being able to wave at herself with her feet.  I think she would have preferred being cold than hbeing mistaken for having four hands.  We're awesome at parenting!

shopping with missi and gragra got ginny to nap on a weekend

That is a very abnormal thing. Ginny hardly ever naps on the weekend. Anyhoo, we're at a mall, and I am sitting on a bench, trying to pass the time with people watching.

That's not very interesting. So here's a pic of Ginny meeting Chinese Chip and Dale, as genuine as orange chicken!

Potty Training

We started potty training ginny last week. We,ve had some good days (only 1 accident at Disneyland and a couple of days at daycare) and some not so good days (2 or 3 accidents). But today, I am proud to announce that she had her first accident free day!!! A small victory, but we are oh so proud of her!
