Doggie Update

Well, Mickey and Mulan have been attending doggie school for three weeks now and are half way through their course. They are making magnificent progress. Mickey, of coure, is the star of his class (except when he's a little testy and snaps at the other dogs that jump on him). Mulan is learning a lot and can successfully obey all of her commands thus far with some positive, ahem, food, reinforcement.

On the home front, our doggie corral has worked nicely so that most of our prized possessions remain untouched. Mulan does not have much to destroy now, so she has resorted to moving and/or chewing the backyard's welcome mat and the rug that sat inside the doggie door. I also discovered that yesterday, she chewed a hole through the screen door (thank goodness the screen door was already broken and we needed to buy a new one, so no loss there).

The worst damage has been our poor verticals that cover our sliding door. Half of vertical #1 met its demise this week. Our verticals are now sprayed with yucky bitter apple spray (unless Darwin accidentally used the wrong bottle, then the verticals will smell like sugar cookies-and we'd be in big trouble!)

On the bright side, we have not had any more couches or any valuable items destroyed. I call that progress.

Charger's Celebration!

This is my dad and I celebrating the second Charger's victory over the Titans. Pretty good jumping butt bump celebration if I do say so myself.

Simpsons Mania!

For all of you Simpsons fans that think they know everything, try to stump The Simpsons Artificial Intelligence (hint: don't choose something obvious like Moe or Bart):

Bad Doggie

Mulan has been very bad this last week or so. She knew Santa has come and gone, and I guess I forgot to tell her that she still needs to be good cuz Santa is coming back again this year. Due to her terrible knack for mischievousness, and the horrible massacre of the armrest to the couch (times 2), we had to construct Fort Family Room, to protect our remaining furniture.

BTW-look at my new shoes. Aren't they super cute? ;)

Fortunately, Fort Family Room was short lived, as Darwin and I had trouble accessing the family room. Thus, we have appeared to invest in miniature horses since we bought a makeshift indoor corral to contain the mischievousness. Fortunately, our indoor corral has worked for the 3 days it has been up. Hopefully, combined with the doggie school Mulan and Mickey will be attending, we can significantly curb the damage to our personal property.

Mulan says that she's sorry and she's going to try hard to do really good in school so that everyone will come see her again...How can you be mad at a face like that???

Presents!

We had a great haul this year!

Missi won her own gift that she bought for the big Gift Exhange.
I got a lot of tea like Green Tea, Pomegranate, Rasbury, Earl Grey, Apple, Orange, and even Sweet Tea (that's right the hummingbird's got some nectar!)

Mulan got first crack at a blue penguin- "It's just so blue! I had to taste it!" she exclaimed.

And, Mickey was quick to show her how to properly annihilate it.

Well Christmas time is over which means...

Mickey and Mulan are going to School! Stay tuned!

But before I go and Missi can stop me from posting this, check out Missi on a skateboard!
