My cousin Andrei and his girlfriend Kim came to visit us a couple weeks after our trip up north. Our trip up to Reno was too short so it was really great for them to come down so that we could have more time to visit with them. The night they came into town we all tried "The King and I" Thai restaurant (thanks to Brad again!). It was pretty good, Kim had her curry Thai Hot, I chickened out from trying it though. Missi and I both stuck with 3's for our curries which is pretty mild but not too mild.
Anyhoo we spent Saturday at Seaworld and had a lot of fun there. Unfortunately, it rained (well sprinkled or misted pretty hard) while we were there. Here are some photos of us at Seaworld, you'll notice that Ginny had to have her hoody on. We hope to get back up to the Reno/Northern California area again to visit everyone again and to see other friends we missed (that's you Kathryn!).

Lions and Tigers and Bears! Oh Ginny!
We spent Saturday at the Wild Animal Park with Ginny's cousin Joshua, Auntie Em and Pappy. Boy, was it hot! There were bees everywhere too! I've never been stung before, but man, I was pretty sure I was gonna be stung just cuz there were so many around. Joshua was pretty nervous too, and as a result I got to eat a bunch more of the Icee and drink a lot more of the soda that Em bought for him than I would've, score!

Joshua and I fed a lot of ducks and a few ducklings, and some really big catfish at the park. We also visited the Condors up at the farthest walkable point of the park from the entrance. Who's crazy idea was that!? We spent a long time at the park though and had a lot of fun. We also got to check out the elephants and be jealous of them as they splashed in the water.
I'm impressed with how long we were there considering that Auntie Em was dropping little hints for us to leave the park throughout our time there. At the end of the day though she started pushing Ginny towards the exit determinedly and said to me something like- "I've got Ginny and I'm going, unless they [Pappy and mama] head into a store." I then tried to head into a store but she ignored me!
I think we were all pretty relieved after we got out of the heat and had dinner. After we got back to the house Ginny redoubled her efforts at learning how to drink like Mama and Dada. But, as you can see she forgot to turn the bottle right-side up first!
Before our WAP visit we had a bunch of other adventures but in order to appease Auntie Em I thought that we'd better get this one up first, stay tuned! ;-)

The Last Leg of the Trip!
After our visit with the family in Reno we came down the coast on the way home. Before we got to the coast though, we got to have a quick lunch with Brad, by some miracle he wasn't working at the time even though it was a Tuesday. I know who would've thunk it? ;-) Lunch with Brad has paid off dividends for me, cuz Missi got introduced to some more Thai food that she likes. Since then we've tried two new local Thai places near our house. Yay!
Anyhoo, back to San Jose we went to visit the Winchester Mystery House. It was pretty fun, especially for me because the house is probably the white whale for a CD action.
After trying to head up stairs that lead to no-where, we visited Monterrey and its world famous aquarium. Ginny had a great time looking at all the seahorses, jellyfish, the octopus, and the rest of her ocean friends. We also learned conclusively that fish can be friends and food!
Our next stop was Cambria where we spent our time exploring the tide pools and saying hi to the elephant seals.
As we continued our drive down the coast I had to stop for a potty break. Conveniently enough we were close by the Madonna Inn. That's right I used their urinal which was featured on a recent Travel Channel special highlighting the world's most impressive bathrooms. Although, the waterfall bathroom I used was different than the one I saw on the show. Is there more than one fancy urinal there?
Well, that's pretty much it, except that we did eat at the Boat (yummy cheese bread) and went to Disneyland before having to go back to work.

Family Time!
After the wedding Missi, Ginny and I drove to Reno to visit my dad's side of the family. John asked in a recent comment whether Ginny was a good traveler. She really was! Aside from her regular fussiness in getting into the car seat, she was great on the road. The hard part was keeping her awake while we were driving during her normal play times. It was easy though getting her to take a nap during her normal nap times while in the car. All Missi had to to was let me pass out and Ginny would be quick to follow. ;-)
She and Ginny got to meet a lot of family including Ginny's great-Lolo and Lola. We spent the first part of our visit eating and hanging out on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend with some of the family. On Memorial Day we drove up to Tahoe to meet up with the rest. That was me and Ginny's first time there. It was really pretty up there and surprisingly not crowded at all. Check out the pix from this part of our trip.

Marc & Daisy's Wedding!
Ginny, Missi and I drove up to the Bay area to help celebrate the nuptials of our friends Marc & Daisy. We had a great time.
Ginny had a lot of fun meeting her unkies Marc, Suju, Matee, Mike and Thai. She also got to see Aunties Anh and Karen, and Unkies Brad, Van and Chris, again. She surprised me by asking why Unkies Van, Thai and Suju were a little crazier than the rest. I told her that it was cuz of the sauce. She asked "Sauce? What kind of sauce?" I replied, "It ain't apple sauce." She then exhaled a knowing "Oohhhhhh."
;-)
Thankfully, she became distracted with the DJ. In response to him she yelled out "Ohh Yeaahhh!", with a Filipino accent. That darn DJ!
I'm just kidding, Ginny didn't say all those things. But I'm sure she was thinking them.
Below are pix from the ceremony and reception. As you can see both were absolutely beautiful! Congratulations to the happy couple!

Disney time fun!
Over the past couple visits to the Disney Resort Ginny has ridden Alice in Wonderland, the Fun-Wheel, Sleeping Beauty's Carousel, Heimlich's Choo Choo Train, and Flik's Flyers. She's becoming a pro! Here are some pictures from her last couple of visits. Good times!
Swim Time!
Ginny loved her swim lessons. Here's some pictures from her first lesson when she was in the water with just me, and her last lesson swimming with mom. Every week she was more and more comfortable. It sure was fun! Ginny even enjoyed getting dunked!
